Detailed Operation Methods of Israeli Tuttnauer Steam Sterilizer

Release time:2026/06/24 Click count:67
The Israeli Tuttnauer steam sterilizer is a high-precision, fully automatic laboratory autoclave widely used in biological laboratories, medical institutions, pharmaceutical factories and scientific research platforms. Adopting advanced pre-vacuum steam sterilization technology, it features stable performance, high sterilization efficiency, complete program functions and strict safety protection mechanisms. It is mainly used for high-pressure sterilization of experimental instruments, glassware, culture media, biological samples and medical consumables, effectively eliminating bacteria, spores and microorganisms to ensure the sterility and safety of experimental and medical processes. Standardized and complete operation procedures are the core premise to guarantee sterilization effect, avoid equipment failure and extend service life. This article systematically introduces the whole-process standard operation methods of Tuttnauer sterilizer, covering pre-operation preparation, formal operation steps, post-operation treatment and key operational specifications.
Complete pre-operation preparation is the foundation for successful sterilization and safe equipment operation. Before starting the equipment, operators must conduct comprehensive inspection and pretreatment in accordance with standard specifications. First, check the equipment status and power system, confirm that the power supply voltage is stable, the power cord is intact without damage or leakage, and the emergency switch is in normal standby state. Second, inspect the water system, inject purified water or deionized water into the equipment water tank according to the standard requirements, and strictly control the water level between the upper and lower scale lines. Excessively low water level will cause insufficient steam generation and incomplete sterilization, while excessively high water level may lead to water overflow during operation and circuit failure. Tap water is prohibited for long-term use to prevent scale accumulation from blocking pipelines and polluting the inner chamber.
Formal operation is the core link of the whole sterilization process, which is divided into equipment startup, program selection, parameter setting and automatic sterilization operation. After confirming that the pre-inspection is qualified, close the equipment door tightly, lock the door body according to the operating requirements, and ensure the door seal is closely fitted without gaps to avoid steam leakage during operation. Turn on the power switch, and the equipment will complete self-inspection automatically. After confirming that the sensor, temperature and pressure display, and program system are normal, select the corresponding sterilization program according to item attributes. Tuttnauer sterilizer is equipped with multiple built-in professional programs, including 121℃ conventional sterilization program for common instruments and culture media, 134℃ high-temperature rapid sterilization program for high-resistance spores and contaminated articles, and slow exhaust program for liquid samples to prevent liquid bumping.
After selecting the program, check and confirm the core operating parameters such as sterilization temperature, holding time and exhaust mode to ensure matching the sterilization requirements of the items. After parameter confirmation, start the sterilization cycle. The equipment will automatically complete the whole process of pre-vacuum pumping, steam injection, temperature and pressure rise, constant-temperature sterilization, pressure relief exhaust and cooling. The pre-vacuum system can effectively discharge cold air from the inner chamber, solve the problem of incomplete sterilization caused by air residue, and improve the uniformity of high-temperature steam penetration. During the automatic operation of the equipment, operators need to monitor the real-time changes of temperature, pressure and time on the display screen, observe whether the equipment operates stably without abnormal noise, steam leakage or sudden alarm, and stop the machine for inspection immediately in case of abnormal conditions.
Post-operation standardized treatment is crucial to equipment maintenance and sterile item preservation. After the sterilization program is completely finished, the equipment will automatically cool down and release pressure. It is strictly prohibited to forcibly open the door before the internal pressure drops to zero and the temperature decreases to the safe range, so as to prevent high-temperature steam ejection from causing scalding accidents. After confirming that the pressure and temperature are normal, open the door slightly first to discharge residual hot air, then fully open the door body, and take out the sterilized items. Check the sterilization indicator tape and indicator card of the items to confirm that the sterilization standard is met, and place the qualified sterile items in a closed sterile storage cabinet for standby.
Finally, complete equipment cleaning and daily maintenance. Clean the residual water stains, condensed water and sundries in the inner chamber with a soft clean cloth, keep the inner cavity dry and tidy, check the door seal for adhesion and damage, and drain the excess water in the water tank if the equipment is idle for a long time. Turn off the power supply and water source in sequence, and record the operation information, including sterilization time, program parameters, item type and equipment operation status, to form complete laboratory operation records.
In the actual operation process, operators must abide by safety specifications and operational taboos. It is forbidden to sterilize flammable, explosive, corrosive and volatile dangerous items, and prohibited to overload the inner chamber. Regularly calibrate the temperature and pressure sensors, clean the steam filter and exhaust pipeline, and eliminate hidden dangers such as scale blockage and seal aging. Standardized whole-process operation can not only ensure 100% sterilization qualification rate, but also effectively reduce equipment failure rate, prolong the service life of Tuttnauer sterilizer, and provide reliable sterile guarantee for laboratory research and medical testing work.
